Christine Kroll, OTD, M.S., OTR, FAOTA, is the director of pre-doctoral residency and fieldwork and the director of the post-professional doctor of occupational therapy program in the Department of Occupational Therapy. She is an occupational therapist whose teaching focuses on doctoral experiential and capstone development as well as the use of ePortfolio as a pedagogy to improve critical thinking. She is also experienced in Medicare post-acute care reform contributing via national professional associations to support policy and education. Prior to beginning her appointment as faculty at the School of Health & Human Sciences, Kroll was the chief clinical officer at Healthcare Therapy Services, Inc. (HTS) in Greenwood, Indiana. Kroll graduated from the University of Indianapolis with a B.S. in 1987 and received her M.S. in occupational therapy in 1989 from the University of Indianapolis. She earned her doctorate of occupational therapy in 2016 at Indiana University.
Kroll focuses on the development of the pre-doctoral residency and capstone for the doctor of occupational therapy program. She uses high impact experiences including ePortfolio to improve critical reflection and online application such as VoiceThread to improve student engagement. She is also directing and promoting the post-professional doctor of occupational therapy and guides the use of the ePortfolio and capstone process to improve learning and professional development throughout the program.
