Christina Nelson serves as an academic advisor for students primarily pursuing Sports Management and Exercise Science majors within the School of Health & Human Sciences. She coordinates the SHHS Residentially Based Learning Community (RBLC) in the University Tower Residence Hall. Prior to beginning her appointment as staff at the school, Nelson started her advising career at IUPUI University College in 2006. Before that role, Nelson served as a residential life coordinator at Butler University while also coordinating a peer health education group on campus. Nelson has been recognized as a “Favorite Professor” from a student-athlete in her first-year seminar. She has also been formally acknowledged by her advisees as a person who impacted their first-year success. Nelson graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and received her Master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs at Indiana University Bloomington.
