Patricia J. Scott, Ph.D., MPH, OT, FAOTA is a professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy and an adjunct associate professor of surgery at the IU School of Medicine. Her area of expertise is in measuring participation outcomes of occupational therapy treatment using the Role Checklist Version 3 (RCv3). Prior to her appointment as faculty at the School of Health & Human Sciences, Scott was chair of the Department of Occupational Therapy at Florida International University. Scott received her B.S. in Occupational Therapy from the University of New Hampshire, her MPH from the University of Oklahoma, and her Ph.D. in Public Policy Analysis.
Scott’s research is cross cultural. She heads a consortium of academics from six countries who’s aim is to establish the RCv3 as a valid measure of participation. It is also translational, Scott was the 2016 recepient of the IUPUI Bantz Petonia TRIP faculty scholar recognizing her work with organ transplant recipients and return to full participation in society.
