Begin your leadership and adventure-filled journey with this minor and gain the knowledge and skills necessary for success in the Army.

A minor in leadership and military will prepare you for a career as an Officer in the United States Army. If you successfully complete the academic and hands-on courses in this program you’ll earn a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army. In the ROTC, you’ll participate in a variety of leadership experiences, academic challenges, and unique learning opportunities not available to other IUPUI students and develop knowledge and skills necessary for success in the Army.

The principles of leadership learned and utilized in this minor, develop skills which are in high demand today both in the private sector and in the military.

Eligibility:

  • The leadership and military science minor is open to IUPUI students enrolled in the ROTC program.
  • In order to enroll in this minor, you must be admitted to IUPUI. If you are not currently admitted to IUPUI, you will need to meet the admission requirements established by IUPUI. For more information, visit admissions.iupui.edu/apply.

Minor requirements:

  • Complete a minimum of 18 credits in accordance with the specified curriculum.
  • Earn a minimum grade of C in each course.
  • Maintain a minimum 2.0 overall grade point average.
