The Dietetic Graduate Internship Program is a full-time program that is designed to provide those wishing to sit for the Registered Dietitian exam with the knowledge and skills necessary to advance their careers within the profession. As a student, you will be prepared for a wide variety of employment settings, including health care, business and industry, community/public health, education, research, government agencies and private practice.

The Dietetic Internship Program at the IU School of Health and Human Sciences is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. ACEND is an accrediting body recognized by the Commission on Recognition of Postsecondary Accreditation and the United States Department of Education.

Satisfactory completion of the Dietetic Internship Program allows the student to sit for the Registration Examination for Dietitians; dietetic registration is required for certification in Indiana.
