Apply what you learn

It’s a good idea to pair your classroom learning with an internship experience. You’ll gain valuable work experience, identify career opportunities, build links to professionals in your future field, and more.

The internship course is designed to provide you with hands-on industry experience. It will complement your undergraduate education and advance you toward earning your degree.

Course eligibility

To enroll in the health internship course, HLSC-W 495, you must meet the following criteria:

  • have a sophomore standing with 30 or more credit hours
  • have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher
  • have completed at least one semester at IUPUI
  • be a fully admitted student to the School of Health & Human Sciences

Internship course intent form

The intent form must be submitted and approved before starting an internship for credit. Failure to do so could result in denial of your internship for credit experience.

Once permission has been granted for the internship, you can register for the course, HLSC-W 495.
