Join us November 9–13 for Evolve, the IUPUI Department of Tourism, Event, and Sport Management’s (TESM) first-ever, weeklong, professional development experience. Evolve is designed by TESM students with SHHS Career Development and focuses on three educational tracks: careers; technology training; and diversity, equity, and inclusion in event design.

Evolve will better help you strengthen your professional skills, make connections, and keep up with the changes in the industry, whether you’re a current TESM student or returning alumni. The event will be live from 10 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. (ET) Monday thru Friday with recorded sessions available to view on-demand at any time in the day during the week.

Hey everyone, it's Leonard Hoops from Visit Indy.  I am so excited that I get to kick off [TESM] Evolve week and spend some time sharing some thoughts and experiences with our future tourism leaders from IUPUI. I’m going to be talking about what I call the three P’s of a great organizational culture I’m going to be sharing some thoughts on the attributes we look for when we promote people and put them into leadership positions I’m Going to tell you why I think there's a very bright future still for people who are looking to work in the sports, convention, and tourism world despite what's going on during this pandemic. And finally, I’m going to tell you why Indianapolis in particular is well-positioned for a really bright future. So join me on the morning of November the 9th for kicking off Evolve week. Evolve will also host keynote presentations from Indianapolis thought leaders and research presentations from undergraduate and graduate students. Kicking off Evolve the President & CEO of Visit Indy, Leonard Hoops, will deliver a keynote presentation on the state of tourism, sports, and events in Indianapolis and why you should have hope for your career future.
