Cultural Tourism Certificate

Earn a certificate in cultural tourism

Dive into cultural tourism with courses focused on developing a foundational knowledge of the tourism industry. In addition, you’ll expand your knowledge of food and culture, cultural attractions, and cultural travel.

This certificate program prepares you for careers in cultural attractions, art and culture organizations, historic preservation, cultural travel, food, and other cultural tourism interests.

You’ll learn about topics such as tourism principles in other countries, wines of the world, cruise line management, and more.

You can earn this credential with 12 credit hours. It is available both in person and 100% online.

Eligibility

  • The certificate in cultural tourism is open to current students, except those majoring in tourism. It can be pursued as a stand-alone degree or combined with an associate or bachelor’s degree.
  • In order to enroll in our certificate program, you must already be admitted. If you are not currently admitted, you will need to meet the admission requirements. Visit IU Indianapolis admissions to apply.

Certificate requirements

  • Complete a minimum of 12 credits in accordance with the specified curriculum.
  • Required to have a minimum 2.0 overall grade point average.
