With an individualized minor in tourism, event, hospitality & sport management, you’re in the driver’s seat. You’ll be able to choose from electives spanning across a variety of sectors to develop specialist skills which will help you stand out from the crowd.

With options including business foundations, sport marketing, event design & decor, philanthropy & fundraising, food & beverage operations, safety & crisis management, and global tourism, you can tailor your learning to your specific career goals.

In three years or fewer, depending on your schedule and courses offered, you can earn this credential.

Eligibility

  • The tourism, event, hospitality & sport management minor is open to current students, regardless of major, and can be combined with an associate’s or bachelor’s degree.
  • In order to enroll, you must meet with a faculty advisor and develop a mutually agreed upon series of courses to complete.

Minor requirements

  •  Complete a total of 15 credit hours of courses from TESM-prefix courses
    • Up to 3 credit hours of courses completed as part of a TESM Major can count toward the 15-credit hour requirement
    • Up to 3 credit hours of TESM-C 402 TESM Industry Experience can count toward the 15-credit hour requirement

  • Maintain a minimum 2.0 overall grade point average
