Elizabeth “Betsy” Fish, M.A., is a lecturer of hospitality for the tourism, events, & sport management department. Prior to beginning her appointment as faculty at the School of Health & Human Sciences, Fish served as an associate professor of Communication Studies at Ivy Tech Muncie/Henry-County from August 2021 until May of 2025. Before that appointment she has served as an adjunct professor for Public Speaking at Indiana University East, adjunct professor of Communication for Ivy Tech Community College Muncie/Henry County and an adjunct instructor of Communication & Theatre at Depauw University.
Fish has worked in the hospitality industry as the communications & events director at Idle Hour Country Club, food & beverage director at Valle Vista Golf & Conference Center and the catering manager at The Riviera Club. In addition to working in the hospitality industry, Fish worked in the Communications Division of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office as a 911 Dispatcher & Telecommunicator from 2018 until 2020.
Fish graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Culture and a minor in Criminal Justice in 2016. Fish received her Master of Arts in Communication Studies from Ball State University in 2018. Fish a Master of Business Administration Candidate at Butler University with an anticipated graduation date of May 2027.
