Faculty and Staff Scholarship
This $500 award goes to an incoming freshman enrolled in the Department of Kinesiology or the Department of Tourism, Event, and Sport Management. You must be an incoming freshman with a high school GPA of 2.5 or higher.
Phillip K. Hardwick Scholarship
One $500 award recognizes a student enrolled in the Department of Kinesiology or the Department of Tourism, Event, and Sport Management for outstanding community volunteerism or philanthropy. Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Both incoming freshmen and current SHHS students are eligible to apply.
Anna A. Schmook Scholarship
These $2,000 scholarships go to incoming students who intend to major in exercise science, fitness management and personal training, or physical education teacher education with plans to live in the SHHS Housing Community in University Tower.
Jeff and Susan Vessely Scholarship
This $2,000 is awarded to an incoming freshman with a major in exercise science, fitness management and personal training, or physical education teacher with a high school GPA of 2.5 or higher.

This $500 award goes to an incoming freshman enrolled in the Department of Kinesiology or the Department of Tourism, Event, and Sport Management. You must be an incoming freshman with a high school GPA of 2.5 or higher.

Bo L. Hagood Scholarship
This $1,000 scholarship is awarded annually to an incoming freshman or a current freshman who will be a sophomore in the fall pursuing the tourism, conventions, and event management major. Applicants must have a high school GPA of 2.5 or higher and work in the hotel, tourism, or other hospitality industry. Preference is given to minority students, but all students are encouraged to apply.
Jim Bennett Scholarship
The department awards the Jim Bennett Scholarship, a $1,000 scholarship, to a student from Ivy Tech Community College who is pursuing a B.S. in Tourism, Conventions, Event Management as part of the TCEM 2+2 program. Applicants must be a current Ivy Tech hospitality administration student planning to enroll in the B.S. in Tourism, Conventions, and Event Management degree program and demonstrate financial need as determined by FAFSA.
The general application takes about 15 minutes to complete and you’ll automatically be matched with scholarships that fit your entered criteria. Some scholarships may have additional requirements you need to complete to be considered.
All incoming student scholarship applications must be submitted by February 15.
